Parsi Roubiax

It was a late night for me last night as i stayed up to watch the "hell of the north",Paris Roubiax.
In my opinion this is the greatest bike race of all time. With 250 odd km's of racing and 50 something km's of cobbles you need great bike skills alot of luck and to be a real hard man to deal with the crashes, punctures and whatever else the course throws at you.
This year the weather looked good and Tom Bonnen managed to back up his win's in 2005 and 2008 with another victory. With about 20km's to go the leading six riders entered the final section of cobbles where everyone except Bonnen crashing. So what looked like a sprint finish ended with big Tomeke powering the final 15km's by himself.
It was an impressive display with Tomeke coming to the front on most section's of cobbles and tearing the peleton a new arsehole dropping everyone till it was only him left.
Pretty wet easter up in the mountains but still managed to get out and climb 3 out of 4 days. Feeling better every week.

Crush!!

Autum

The leaves are falling off the trees, daylight savings is over and the temps are dropping.
Exciting times, the conditions are getting better everyday and i feel as if my neck is improving as well.
Fucking yeah!!
Heard from my good friend Rich that he smashed Brad Pitt at Stanage last night.
Fucking double yeah!!!!
As for me i managed to do Madge with 1 hang on the weekend, pretty pleased with that considering the other week i was doubting i could do anything.

This is old photo Sharik took of Rich trying Jerry's roof in the Pass.

Get psyched
And remember,
It's all about the stone!!

and a cheeky bit of steel.

X-Ray Result

Found out why i have pins and needles in my arm apparently i have bone spurs in my neck which impinge the nerves that run down my arm, not to cool.
Well they aren't going to go away but if i work on and maintain good range of motion in my neck the pins and needles should go away. Using my head as a battering ram for most of my youth maybe wasn't such a good idea, but no regrets just another bump in the journey.

not quite right,but getting there

Well i haven't got much to talk about cause I ain't been doing much. The past weekend at Wes and Jane's beach house was an awesome way to spend time with friends eating ,drinking and swimming
My back is slowly getting better but it seems to be resisting treatment, I guess there's light at the end of the tunnel but it's pretty frustrating not been able to train and climb as much as i want. Managing to run and stretch a few times a week  but i really just want to crush some stone.
The stones have lain dormant in the back yard now for me all year, haven't tried to lift them since Christmas and i can feel their calling everyday. Thanks to the sophisticated measurements of the Tiger Monkey Institute (TMI) the stones now have official weights.
Haviland Stone 58kg
Clark stone 60kg.
Not super heavy but pressing them above your head requires technique and power that since they have been here no one has possesed. Another goal for winter.
I'm pretty sure that within the next couple of weeks i will be able to increase the training and my goals will start to be realised and the post's will get more exciting.
Get strong and enjoy your journey.
Just so it's not a completely verbal post the photo's are from Font 09, cheer's to Sharik for taking the photo of me.

Some Kind Of Bliss

First weekend home and headed down to D.F with Wes and Phil. Due to a recovering back i decided not to try to climb but went to take photo's.
Hadn't taken many photo's on a rope but was happy with some of the results.
Although neither of them ticked the route it was good to see Phil looking strong again and Wes getting more beastly on big numbers.
My back is starting to feel a fair bit better and am looking forward to a bit of training next week.
Start work full time next week and am looking forward to it strangley enough.
Have a good week and play hard.

Not To Forget the Drink of Champions

Maybe the consumption of Rubicon makes you strong enough to crush there.
Pity i only found this amazing strength giving beverage as i was leaving.
